Just a little floral and wood aroma. Tart cherries that turned sweet on the finish. Firm tannins and good acidity. Paired with Chicago stuffed pizza; good pairing.

Drank at restaurant in Indy. $54. Pleasant wine with good fruit but could use a bit more balance. Not a great price on the wine list. Might drink again but probably the 2010.

Black cherry, resin, cedar. A bit to the sweet side. good sipping wine, unlike normal chianti. Licorice, brown sugar. Acid and tannin to counter. Decent finish. The cheaper brother of this wine is also good (Nipozzano) at half the price. So is it worth the double price? (in denmark it is 3 times the price, so in that case not worth it. 70E!) but double might be just right. It has the body and complexity of 20-25E italian wines. You can also get Lucente for 22E (30E in denmark) so in denmark I buy Lucente. In italy I buy Montesodi, when I want something better than Nipozzano (13E in italy - 17E in denmark).

Bien mais pas génial, pas convaincu que le vieillissement l'ait amélioré..

A good and pleasant enough wine but a little harsh. Initial relatively full and round fruit characters but quite a woody tart finish.
