(Open 8 hours; decanted 2) typical blueberry, chocolate, pudding nose. Nice sweet, ripe fruit on the attack, but better balance and acidity than I expected. Restrained may not be the right word, but balanced, good length. Enjoyable. For my palate no rush at all with these

In the decanter for an hour prior to drinking. The pervious reviewer here spot on in descriptors, upfront dark chocolate, burnt oak, coffee and licorice. It’s high alcohol is evident and yes a big wine. In its window, drink over the next few years.

Needed something to pair w Christmas ham. Perfect! It's still drinking well. Nicely aged but still some fruit, slight raisin flavor but not too much.

I recommend people begin to drink up their remaining bottles. We may be approaching the end of the drinking window for this vintage.
