We decanted and somehow it helps but this si a wine of 2 faces , totally different that, at least in our bottle, was impossible to enjoy. The nose is an easy 95, meaty, smoky, herby. Super b nose. The palate though was impossibly sharp and difficult . Weirdest wine for a long time. Pointless to rate. Good luck.

Bud's 70th at Ortega Fish Shack (Ortega Fish Shack, Wellington, New Zealand): Yummy aged Grenache in a great place right now. Rich, opulent, gamey fruit and a rich, sweet, complex and satisfying palate add up to a delicious expression of high alcohol, mid - late maturity CNdP. Provencal herbal aromas and flavors are an enjoyable aspect to the wine. A point right now but showing no signs of decline.

Old Châteauneuf-du-Papes tasted with Harry Karis (750 Wines, St. Helena, California): Lightly bricking medium dark red violet color with pale meniscus; brett, earthy, roast beef jus nose; brett, tasty, meat jus, lamb jus, mineral palate; medium-plus finish
