Lemon curd and honey on the nose. Lovely. A bit lacking in depth on the palate. Pleasant, mature, honeyed flavours and nice balance. Lovely creamy texture, and fresh acidity on the finish. Lovely wine, just a little lacking in oomph compared to what you’d expect.

Hyper-pure and focused, with the intense fine-grained minerals that explode from 04 Raveneau up and down the line. Raveneau really killed it in 04. This isn't an opulent Raveneau but it's a very, very good one. Also super light in color and very young. This will improve for years and should hold for decades barring premox or other issues. Not sure it's worth the current tariff but that's a personal decision.

(François Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Les Forêts) Light yellow color; ripe lemon, mineral nose; delicious tart lemon, mineral, concentrated palate with medium-plus acidity; medium-plus finish (best match with French lentils and barbecued shrimp dish)
