Beautiful color. Crisp golden. Nose is toasted marmalade. But the palette was a bit underwhelming initially. Not very complex at first, but had a long finish. After decanting, the wine started to show its power. Palette of molasses and marmalade start to come out. at first

From an excellent looking bottle, this wine had a light gold center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed vanilla custard, citrus, pear, and white stone. After several hours of air this morphed somewhat to bread pudding, citrus, toffee, and white stone.
In the mouth, this wine was rich but had huge acidity and citrus length. After a few hours it was still pretty dramatic with substantial weight and huge acidity. Despite its appearance and the toffee notes, it did not come off as being over the hill.
This wine was monstrous even after sitting in a decanter for a while. It was complex and probably best with food. I recommend consuming this ASAP as the structure appears likely to fade more slowly than the fruit. Arguably 95 points after 5 hours of air.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (New York, NY): Brief Paulee tasting note. Big and dense fruit aromas and flavors, spice hints. Still quite fresh. Impressively long, well textured with classic Montrachet finesse.
