9 Rieslings - 6 Dry 3 Off Dry: Wine four, this was the most in line with what I expect from a classic riesling. Lots of slate and apple, you could smell the acid and minerality. Full orchard fruit on the palate, with tingly acid.

Nine Rieslings, Mostly Dry, with Seven DC Doods (DeeCee Columbia Heights): Light gold. Pineapple and coconut and floral nose. Really intense and lots of extract on palate with yellow orchard fruit and a long satisfying finish. My lowest of the three Laubach this time, but all were excellent.

Petrol, Plastic and some stone fruit aromas. I was expecting a little more honey on the palate, but it wasn't there. The palate offered good acidity, a waxy texture and flavors of under ripe peach, lime and mandarin orange. Dry.
The wine is balanced and the length on the palate continues. Over delivers for the price in my opinion.

Normally $45. Sourced from 3 parcels in the steeply sloped South/Southwest facing Laubach vineyard. 50+ year old average age of vines with many ungrafted. Petrol and honey aromas on the nose. Notes of spiced apples, melon and smoke. Bone dry. 91 points.

This is quite different from any of the other Mosel Rieslings I’ve had. I think it’s a lot more phenolic? That’s what I’d say if it was rum, at least.
Smoke, plastic, minerality, chalk, green apple. Medium+ acidity, which is still less than I expected. Bone dry. Very unique GG.
