My first impression considered the wine lacking. Relatively linear with some minerality and not much fruit. drinkable, yes, remarkable, no. Not sure time will help ignite the wine. As the winery's flagship Sancerre, it is disappointing.

Clean and mineral and made for a gratta palate starter, kickstarter we should say as this was just the pretty little number to our dinner. Mineral, clean, floral and soft gassy and also delicious in its straight fwd and even though relatively simple style. 89

A pleasant wine, though quite hollow in the mid-palate -- some soft peachiness upfront, a mineral underlayer, and then nothing. Identifiable as Sauvignon Blanc -- it tastes a bit like some of the northeastern Italian versions, though in the end I guessed that it was Menetou-Salon. It might fill in a bit with age, though I suspect that there are a lot of Sancerres that offer a lot more length for the money.

Honeysuckle and lemon curds on the nose, entry of peach, pear, lemon, and a nice mid-palate. Floral and tropical finish. Overall, a very pleasant wine though the price of entry is a bit steep ($35) relative to other values out there.
