Piemonte: Truffles instead of Turkey; 11/23/2023-12/2/2023 (Barolo, Barbaresco, Alto Piemonte and of course Alba): I appreciated the more restraint to the fruit here without an over-reliance on oak which the Barbara seems to hold in much more. This is still dark black fruits but a touch of the dry tannin at the end. Less ripe. Good balance. Easy wine. I wouldn’t say I’d seek it out because I never seek this grape out but I wouldn’t be opposed to needing to drink this.
