During a Confrerie 2007 BYO tasting dinner, so just short impressions. No surprise on the overall vintage performance, the 2007 are mostly light and harmless compared to better vintages. TN: One of the positive surprises of the evening. Earthy aromas with a touch of game, soft tannins good mouth feel. Very nice for the vintage.

Really surprised by how unevolved this wine was, lots of sweet new French oak coats the wine underneath, though I would like it to resolve a lot before drinking again this Chambertin shows great depth and lateral richness for a 2007, ripe with dark cherry, almost currant, broad though nicely rounded; delicious; 93+.
