Really good QPR. A little dark fruit on the nose. Tannins fully tamed with a little acid taste . This wine is not over the hill yet, but really won’t improve with further aging. Open with your next good Italian dish.
Highly recommend with the caveat that this is still quite young. A very good QPR wine. Very youthful but now approaching a reasonable drinking window. We popped and poured tableside but if possible I recommend at least a 90-120 minute decant. Drink or hold but at this point heavily leaning on the hold - with proper cellaring this has easily a decade++ to go with further expected improvement (softening, integration). A big cut above their standard chianti. Paired well with a wide selection of meats at a Brazilian style steakhouse. Light purple, clear, good mouth feel, at this point very fruitforward with further softening and integration expected. Medium length aftertaste. Nose bright with kirsch, cardamom and plum. Flavor profile light and fruit dominant at this point with black cherry, black currant, black tea and a hint of anise on the finish.

PnD.
Consistent with previous note. Just not as good.
Great fruit. Interesting menthol spearmint note on the nose.
