This was fantastic for me. Very dry, masculine , apricot, orange rind, but oh so balanced. Wonderful minerality. Paired very well with roast bone in ham!!

Magnum. Medium yellow. Gorgeous aromatics of tea and candied ginger. Some residual sugar on the entry, but dry, mineral finish, fabulous acidity. Peach and citrus fruit that is completely fresh and vivid for its age. Wow, what a stellar (big) bottle this was. Very little in the way of secondary characteristics, which makes me think that in this format, it could easily go on for another decade.

(Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg) From magnum - light lemon yellow color; very appealing, petrol, muddled mint, wintergreen nose; tasty, tart lime, cottage cheese, mineral palate with medium acidity that cuts like a knife; medium-plus finish 93+ points

Semi thick oily texture. Noise of honey, floral notes, petrol, rubber. Palate shows good acidity with some white fruit, faint burnt matches. Elegant.

Still marvelous. Thick almost syrupy with a strong citrus component. Worth finding more 2005's as they are still going strong.
