Pale yellow color. Pronounced aromas of lemon, sea breeze, flint, pear, green apple, orange, a bit of petroleum. Dry, high acid, med(+) body, med alcohol, med(+) finish. Quite reductive so needed some air. Fruits are ripe fruits - citrus, tropical and tree. Flint and sea breeze. Some touch of petrol is there. Wine is complex and intense with juicy palate supported by precise acidity. Drinking well now but would improve.

Tasted at winery. Schlossberg vineyard is higher up the hill. Shiny pale gold with green tint. Citrus, green apple, lemon cake. Oily texture, balanced, concentrated. Long peppery finish.

Similar to the St Catherine if comes across a touch younger. More fruit and less mineral/smoke/petrol than the St Catherine. Very good. 92-93
