  • Just not my jam in Alsace - dry honey and petrol in disharmony. I might be slandering here, but I swear you can taste a chaptalization as there is just a disconnect between weight and body. That said, enough Schlossberg granite and soft power here as well as a lovely lime leaf side line that makes this good enough.

  • Sad to see this go. Lovely wine with those characteristic Riesling contradictions. Richly textured but with zingy balancing acidity. Honeyed but dry. nice mineral streak underpinning everything. Long and concentrated and just about balanced despite the opulence. 4+

  • Classic Alsace riesling on the nose, with petroleum on its way to apricot, mineral and yellow apple and a hint of honey. It has a nice acidity and length, with some oak (almost coconut) but the taste is not quite as intense and rich as the scent. Perhaps it’ll improve with more time in the cellar? Went well with grilled langoustine with parsley and garlic but better on its own.

  • The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like pineapple and mineral. It tastes like pineapple, mineral, a hint of sulfur and has an oily feeling. The body is light/medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

  • Clear, medium intense yellow colour. Clean developing nose, medium intense. Peaches, white flowers, wild honey, smoke. Dry, high acidity, med+ alcohol, med+ body, med+ flavour intensity. Flavours of apricots, honey, minerals & smoke. A lot of weight on the palate. Very balanced. Med+ finish. Very good. Totally dry on the palate so don't worry folks :)
