I did not realize that I still had one bottle of this in the cellar. I thought it was ready to go nine years ago, but this bottle had all the fireworks. It's steely, with a little edge rust from age. Not much in the way of fruit, it's dominated by developed tones such as honey, spices and dried leaves. There's great persistence to the flavors, and the steely feeling runs all the way through the finish. I would recommend drinking up, despite the wine surprising me this time. Of course the wine always has the last word.

Clear, dark yellow, slight deposit. Clean nose, petrol, almonds, citrus, honey. Very full palate, quite oily, still some acid, off dry. Long finish. Very good indeed. Probably time to drink up.

Golden in color and somewhat golden in aromatics, this bottle has advanced to full maturity, with a generous dose of Riesling petrol, rich yet completely dry fruit and a bracing minerality and tart citrus finish. For those who find so much Alsatian wine too sweet these days, this is very much not! Very good+ and for drinking now.

Moderate aromas of petrol in this concentrated, slightly bitter Riesling. Okay, but not Zind-Humbrecht. This seems to be missing nuance and smells a little too strongly of petrol for my tastes.
