Gorgeous Sangiovese-nose. Mature cherries, chocolate, coffee, leather, gravel road, green herbs and much more. Deep and complex, very good. Nice acidity on the palate, lacks a bit of fruit from the mid- palate and forward. Short-medium long aftertaste. Overall very good and a joy to drink, only downside is the lack of fruit on the palate. Drink up.

Aired 1 hour in a decanter. Transparent color with watery rim. Berry fruit and balsamic scents. A little earthy. On the palate it's smooth with sour cherry fruit and some balsamic acidity. Available tannins and a little sweet finish, a small touch of heat at the very end. Quite elegant and slender. Went well with duck breast, vegetables, red wine sauce and mushrooms. Drink now - 2016

Drank at Zach's Cabin in Beaver Creek with Adrianne with one of the best meals we've ever had. Loved the wine. Quality chianti with a nice smokey/leather quality on the nose and palate.
