  • This was a lovely showing; red fruited and supremely elegant; hints of mint and orange peel, but still really quite primary with red currant, raspberry, and tart cherry. Super pure, elegant, ethereal and delicious. Not a powerful vintage of Montevertine, but its at age 10 and sailing along. Wish I had a few more.

  • Still great. Drank 1/2 with radiatore with morels in prosciutto & cream sauce, 1/2 with cauliflower “steaks” in a balsamic glaze. Worked beautifully with the veges and pasta.

  • Popped and poured. The 2014 Montevertine is a little shy at first but with a little air, the quality becomes undeniable. Still developing, this is a beautiful and elegant expression from Radda with notes of Bing cherry, leather, red flowers, dried herbs, ferrous minerals and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finish is long and gives the impression that you’re drinking something special. While this is showing well now, this will drink very well through 2030 and likely beyond.

  • Another great bottle of Montevertine. Rarely misses. And delicious in every nature. Just so pure

  • Brimming with confidence, doesn't need a label. You know what this is. It's stalwart Sangio - true to its core, to the estate, to the cuvee, sophisticated and deep. Barely stick your nose in and you're hit hard with a mixed bag of the stuff you expect and more - cherries and leather, mint and spruce, dates, raisins. Minerals and a scaffolded structure you gotta work through just a bit, but comes together amazingly well.
