Seemed to have lost its luster, still was very well put together but it just didn't have much oomph, felt a bit flat even as it was obviously balanced and maintained well.

Coravin pour at a restaurant. Tawny almost brown in color with a delightful port-like nose. Medium-light body and still possessing medium-plus acid. Tannins fully integrated, with delicious pure sweet cherries on the palate. Would have had another glass but for the price.

Barolo & Barbaresco tasting (at my home): pale ruby med delicate aromas & flavors intensity; oak-vanilla, truffles, earth, light fruitiness; fine complexity, long finish, over the peak and partially oxidized - but still very enjoyable. drink now.

Barolo: Nebbiolo. Aged for one year in concrete vats and five years in medium-big Slavonian oak barrels. 13,5 % alcohol.
Brick red color.
Fascinating and changing aromas of red fruit, strawberries, blood, meat, brett, tobacco, nutmeg and vanilla. Powerful flavors of red fruit, licorice and tobacco.
Dry. Medium body. High acidity. Chewy tannins. Very good balance. Very good structure. Complex. Elegant.
Long finish with red fruit and heat
Starts off very shy and disappointing but after a few hours of air it opens up and turns out to be a remarkable wine. The nose is more fascinating than the mouth. Can probably survive for another 39 years. Frankly I think it needs to mature more to reach its peak. 95/100

This bottle had lost it's lustre due to leakage.
Has some Oloroso notes that are still pleasant.
But this bottle was dead.
