8 years on and this wine is really hitting its strides. Bright but pure yellow, it has a wonderfully complex bouquet that will keep wine drinkers happy for hours. So complex - full of stone and tropical fruits, lychees, layered with honeysuckle, white flowers and a good whack of controlled oak. Refined body that is creamy and boasting of depth and complexity which includes lovely minerals. A linear and intense finish that has expression of oak and lovely fruits. Lovely.
Drink now to 4+ years.

Served blind. Incredibly salty, chalky nose. Pear and green apples. I was in white Burgundy territory, Puligny or Chassagne. The richness on the palate took me back to Northern Rhône but my first comment was "certainly not Condrieu". Very atypical for the appellation due to the 100% new oak, but to be honest the oak is almost fully integrated and provides a great structure for this wine. Stylish, understated richness, green and white fruits, subtle apricot marks. Truly great wine and to me an eyeopener, thanks to Niels. With Niels and Henrik at Møntergade.

Enjoyment of this wine is very temperature sensitive. Best 1 hour after opening. Oily texture in the mouth, orange elements, a sort of buttery caramel element, along with herbal and ginseng tea. The other side of optimal opening time the mid and back palate is bitter and drying, and in my view unenjoyable. I'll give it a score in the low 90's to give it a nod for its complexity and being more cerebral then most wines. But would I buy it again? No. That bitter element was really off putting.

Smokey, acid minus, and full bodied. Lacks the focused flavors that usually you would expect from this wine. I was hoping more considering the vintage, but sounds like riper fruit, took away the acidity and the white peach bouquet and taste from the wine!
