This is the only white wine made from the Clos Vougeot vineyard, which is neat. It shows popcorn, lemon curd, honeydew melon, white flowers, and a little tropical fruit. Full bodied with a round mouthfeel and noticeable malolactic, but lifted acidity keeps it fresh and lively. Good persistence with a touch of chalk on the finish and the faintest whisper of an oxidative nuttiness. I usually go for a leaner style but the quality is undeniably there. Drink or hold

This is quite good and more nuanced than a couple of years ago. Somewhat humorous to read Jancis saying “refined” and Alan saying “ not refined” in 2019. It is refined now. The richer tones are now giving way to a more balanced citrus, lemon and pineapple backbone and a hint of caramel with those fruits on the palate. Good finish as well. No decant needed.

Opened a magnum to start our Thanksgiving dinner. White flowers and citrus on the nose. The palate was white flowers, citrus, melon, a hint of apricot and just a touch of pineapple on the finish which was moderate to long. My friends were surprised as it is much different that the oaky and or buttery California chardonnays that they are used to.

This is an excellent white that manages to combine the ripeness, elegance and aristocratic complexity in one bottle. Incredible aromatics that keeps evolving in the glass, layers upon layers of green apples, tropical fruit, flowers, brioche, oyster shells, chalky minerality. Very high, yet super tender acidity that never burns. The overall feel and presence is that of a 97+ point wine, but imho it lacks a bit of depth and concentration on the palate to propel it into the highest leagues. Still a real wine experience.
