This bottle was living dangerously; a mid-shoulder fill (albeit with healthy color) heralded a slightly oxidized, slightly volatile wine though it had held onto enough pretty red fruit to be drinkable if not particularly compelling or complex. Yet, to bring this bottle back home and to enjoy it with Nicolas and Stéphanie offered a satisfaction well beyond the contents of the glass.
