Mich&Bo@Paul's (Pine Close): Lifted nose of apricots, citrus florals, wet limestone and some beeswax.citrus acid sweetness, cool clean minerality, juicy mandarin pips and pomelo pith. Saline, oyster shells, chlorine, white florals and beeswax with time. Finishes resinous and herbaceous, with cashew, with oak lifting.

Served during a timed blind tasting competition of the Confrerie des Chevaliers de tastevin. Flight 2. Nose of grass, citrus with asparagus. Light bodied, almost NZ style. I like the aromatics but fund the palate too light for more points. The seasoned Burg drinking crowd was surprised how light these 2009 were. Most people guessed 2011.

Dinner at WD 50 in NYC with Ray and Kevin. Nice white burg, crisp, minerality coming through the fruit, mellow citrus. Great wine to start the night
