  • Dark garnet colored, medium full bodied, subdued blackberry with hints of blueberry and plum fruits, with tones of tobacco, tea and hints of medium-light oak, appropriately balanced with medium acidity and moderate, soft tannins.

  • Man, I'd have a tough time picking this out as a bottle as old as it is. Deep red in the glass with just a hint of orange around the edge when placed in front of the PC monitor. Subdued blackberries, slightly old, game, wet tobacco and tomato soup on the nose. The palate shows blueberries, old blackberries, plums, gravel road, with medium-light oak use. Nicely balanced with nice medium acidity and relaxed but present tannins. Some alcohol heat does show on the finish but does not overwhelm the flavor. The body on the wine is medium to full with a 8-10 second finish, not hugely long but it hangs around nicely. This starts off pretty heavy, but progressively the acidity builds and overall I am really liking it. Not hugely complex but showing really nice flavors and like I said earlier, the fruit feels younger than it is. Drinking nicely tonight, the tannins are pretty relaxed so I'd say it's got another few years of good drinking before it starts to decline. Nice stuff!

  • This wine was drunk over three nights. Aroma: a hint of raspberries. Tasting Notes: This wine never opened up over the three days. I didn't find any depth. The overall quality was poor in my estimation!

  • Had for St. Pats day dinner of Corned Beef, Carrots, Yukon Gold Potatoes. Wonderful bordeaux blend, held up great throughout the meal. First bottle had sense the tasting. Cab, Merlot, Malbec blend...strong prune/raisin flavors, punctuated the standard bordeaux set. Different.
