  • In a great spot. Tannins have softened and the nose has opened showing a fantastic array of white pepper, violets, and spice notes. Palate is open, leather, pepper, and secondary notes dominate. Well poised. Fruit is present but no longer primary. May improve further but in a such a good place I wouldn’t chance it.
    Cote rotie like in profile.

  • Old World all the way with its medium body and gritty texture, low alcohol, high acidity and ripe, gritty tannin. Brick colored, aging nicely as the color has moved quite a way from the rim and at its peak now. Unfiltered an unfined, there is light sediment in the bottle. Lovely N. Rhone Syrah that smells like dust, smokey bacon, black pepper, game and meat. Ample fruit that emerges on the short finish. Definitely a wine to pair with highly flavored meats and aged cheeses. Drank better on the second day when the acid tamed down.

  • Fruity fragrant bouquet.
Fruity, not too tannic, good acidity, medium length.
