Some meaty reduction blows off with air. It has ripe dark fruits and a sweet creamy core. There are mossy/undergrowth things and some leather. It is nicely balanced and has good drive.

From Coravin by the glass list. Expressive nose of torrefaction, dark fruit, earthy aromas and oak. Lush palate with polished tannins. Modern, but in a good way.

The Grand Crus of Chambertin with Jasper Morris MW (Zoom!): Tannins much different to straight Charmes - it's slightly cooler than its neighbour, as there's a col (that also cools Latricieres above), so the wines tend to be crunchier. This wine made from 50% whole bunch, and really old vines (1901).
Very dark colour, and lots of power, with spice and dark flavours like chocolate, but there's still lift and freshness. Tannins are in a lovely spot, just coating the mouth with a lovely sandy feel. Nice length. Slightly too rich and spicy for me (probably the vintage influence), but Group WOTN. Probably lovely with food.

Tasted blind. Nose of smoke, earthy notes with red and dark fruit. Complex, very complete palate and wine this is. It did however turn a touch oxidative after a few hours in the glass, so I would not decant this.
