An Evening with Chiara Boschis of E. Pira & Figli (I Nonni, St. Paul, MN): Dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Gorgeous nose, earth, berries, black cherry, wood spice, violets and dried herbs. The palate translates beautifully and consistently to an elegant wine, nicely balanced, medium body, long finish. The fruit and acid here is excellent, very approachable and beautifully paired with braised veal tongue and escarole agnolloti with jus and brown butter sage and pecorino.

sweet cherry fruit, some volatility, old slightly rotten wood, plenty of sweet oak; palate also shows oak, very soft (without being oily), nice balance but smooth style, sweet oak finish. Good but nothing special
