5 years ago I thought that this wine had well and truly it's peak, I was wrong as tonight's bottle is the best that this has looked since it's release. It has aromas of honey, slate, paw paw and guava. In the mouth the is more pronounced minerality than I have noted previously along with a big squeeze of lemon juice. It is rich and textured with good precision and excellent length of flavour.

Buoyed by the positive recent showing of the 01 Clos I thought I’d check in on this. It is saline, almost with a salty fish smell (in a pleasant way I must add). There are notes of honey, toast and peaches and pears. It is broad and rich in the mouth with fungi and earth savoury traits countering the sweet vinous things. There is just a hint of peanut brittle and the whole package is a very tasty drink but lacks the class and definition of the Clos.

Light lemon colour. Citrus, honey, chalk/flint on nose. Drinking very well with nice balance, great minerality with bone dry acid core. Long finish
