  • Pale green-yellow. (From a wetter year in 2011) The aroma is full of lime and lemon flowers with element of white grapefruit flesh. The entry is linear and firm, with chalk-edged acidity and mineral running through its veins. A refreshing, yet fully ripe, almost like a Greek Assyrtiko with its very particular linearity and juicy Meyer lemon notes. Well balanced, the wine is juicy and pure balanced by a lovely stream of acidity pushing it along. Youthful with a long length and a touch of pithy chewiness on the close.

  • My first of three. Pale gold with green tints, and it’s really tight. I’m happy. Cannot agree with other tasting notes, it has no lime or talc it’s much leaner than that, with lemons, rosemary and verbena showing on first pour. With air some bath salts but it’s a very lean vintage. I’ll decant a half bottle for tomorrow, but suggest you forget this wine for another 5-10 years. The maker and vineyard will shine in time. Day 2 and faint lemon/lime and wet slate enter the mix, and a tangy sherbet at the finish. Nice wine needs time 18.

  • 2011 was a difficult year this bottle reflected the year that was. All the fundamentals were there but it simply is not as brilliant as the other vintages. It is still on youthful side so perhaps it will evolve further but not sure it has the depth and complexity to develop into an outstanding riesling.

Pale bright green, it is very citrus driven. The nose had hints of lemon, lime and perhaps apple, the body was quite linear and had a direct communication style. Quite minerally with an excellent structure. A rounded finish that faded earlier than usual. Still an excellent wine however.

    Drink now or 5+ years.

  • Lime, talc and bath salts. Still somewhat tightly wound acidity, but some development on the nose and palate. White flowers, birds singing. I’m transported back to the Clare Valley Riesling Trail: my riding pace increasing with each and every stop. 12.5% ABV. Clare Valley ground zero.

  • Pale jasmine in colour, the nose bursts with lime blossom, white flowers and lemon leaving heady, intense aromas.
Sweet lime cordial, elderflower is underpinned by a grippy, linear & steely acidity in this medium-bodied, succulent wine. The wine has excellent length and a good fruit concentration from their top vineyard. Not perhaps as elegant, defined and deep as being a wetter year, but lovely wine nevertheless. Touch of peach and lime zest on the finish.
