[under cork] Dark honey amber in glass. Certainly good development - chrysanthemum tea, dry honeysuckle, beeswax, soft hessian, talc, and still-structured acidity! Fantastic concentration, drinking at a beautiful place right now - great development, somewhat youthful, linear slate and schist, soft powdery white florals, lifted aromatics, stuctured acidity tempered with slightly nutty aldehyde development. What a wonder and beauty! Paired effortlessly with Zion Road Char Kway Teow (spicy+cockles)! Not sure many other rieslings match in such a powerful dry slatey style in terms of development. A good example where I appreciate cork over stelvin! [drunk parallel with Springvale 2012; which to me, seemed greater in development]

Purchased at auction recently. This was an alarming amber colour. The nose showed kerosene, floral notes and slight citrus. The palate was mellow. This bottle was well past its prime, perhaps due to poor storage.

Back to my October 20 assessment. An elegant, stylish older lady, golden in colour, rich and oily but still with the slightest residual of acid to maintain its structure. Mellow and most beautiful

(Lunch@Werns') Bright amber in glass, straw, honey marmalade, white pepper. White florals, marzipan, clean. Developed, wet hessian, oily, beeswax. Juicy and developed.
