  Tasted blind and everyone guessed Syrah from Rhône ?! The nose shows plums,blackcurrant,spices and tar.Medium/full-bodied with few tannins,low acidity and short finish.But where is the soul of Piedmont ? Decent,but lacking in any wow factor !

  Drinking beautifully. This is the second 3L I have opened of this wine and it was even better than I remembered (having improved with age).

  Sempre un'ottima barbera.
  Questo 2008 lo aspetterei ancora qualche anno, nel complesso mi è parso ancora piuttosto giovane, con tannini a tratti un poco aggressivi. Il naso non mi è sembrato ancora così ricco come lo ricordo in altre annate.
  Ad ogni modo, vino impeccabile.
