Full bodied, dark fruit . Not a whole lot of complexity. Rough tannins dissipated after a few hours. This one might not be ready for prime time yet. Will wait at least 3-5 years on my next bottle.

Tastes like red wine from a different time, in a real good way mind you. It is a strong wine but not overbearing. There's iron, soot, tar, tart fruits and dark sweet fruits. The introduction of cassoulet unlocks the wine and it's structure cuts through the fat of the food. A delightful drink that has both power and elegance.

Multiple layers of taste. Deep extraction. Full mouth feel and long finish. Soft tannins. Great food wine.

The nose is cassis, red fruit, a bit earthy and cedar. On palate cassis and cedar are more prominent. not too complex but well defined.
