Surprisingly developed aromas of kerosene and honey on the nose. Round on the palate and doesn't seem to have the acid structure of the '06 and '07, leaving it feeling a bit flabby. Medium length. Wonder if this bottle was a bit off, I'll have to try another and report back.
Similar to the '04, this riesling tastes of flowers, green apple, and lemon/lime, finishing with tingly minerals and crisp, clean acidity. A riesling in the Australian style, it sets itself apart from the pack by not being an absolute citrus bomb. I definitely prefer German, but it would be interesting to try this one again in five or ten years time. The '94 is still going strong.
