Decanted 2 hrs. Dark red, brown edges. Large bq w tar, cherries, flowers, marzipan (!?), oak, stone dust. Prominent, rounded tannins, high acidity, fruit still there but drying a bit. Long intense aftertaste w complexity, some sweet fruit and alcohol at the end. Very good! Wouldn't keep it much longer.

(Decanted for two hours before dinner) Deep red colour with a youthful nose showing incipient maturity with leather, liquorice and some perfume. Tannins have softened with the added airtime, but still showing lots of structure on the palate combined with fruit that is drying up on the finish showing some warm fruit. This is good, but the tannins need more time to open up further. Best 2018-2028

Summer and Fall 2022 Wine Adventures (Corolla, NC & Three Rivers, MI & Dogwood Grove, VA): Very impressed that this wine was so long and tannic after all these years. Very classic Barolo flavor and aromatic profile showing dried cherry, strawberry, mint, iron, stony minerals and a dusty, pleasing finish.

At Diana/Peter gardenparty. Lovely nose with rose elements. Taste just lovely and mature now. Could have had one more with me....they loved it.
