Cloudy Red-orange color. Really intense orange peel and sweet marmalade on the nose. This wine is very advanced for a 2000 Barolo; it drinks like it has 30 years minimum. Sharp with lots of citrus acidity. Strong orange peel, tart cranberry, and a touch of sage and raisin. This is m my bag.

Medium cherry color, bricking Cherries, menthol and orange rind on the nose Red fruits, licorice on the palate with an orange pith finish (a bit astringent) but with lively acidity. Chalky tannins but the acidity keeps it fresh

Decanted for four hours. Was a nice Barolo in many respects but lacked the depth I'd expect from something with age on it - felt a bit flat for the age. Still enjoyable, just not what I expected.

Another great bottle - a hint of anise on the nose with this bottle. I've had a corked bottle and another that was subprime - but this is a fabulous QPR Barolo when it's on point.

Nice soft tannins, and loads of dusty fruit and tumbleweedberry. Very nice wine.
