  Medium garnet with bricking edges. Smelled earthy-tarry with orange peel, mint, and red fruit; the taste leans more on the fruit with some herbs. Medium-plus body, high acidity, medium-plus tannin but almost balanced by the intensity of flavor. The medium-plus finish goes from red fruit to mentholated medicine, with some alcoholic heat throughout.

  decanted for an hour. may need more time in the bottle. almost tasted like a bordeaux starting to tighten up. first glass showed strong tannins and a little thin fruits. second glass started to open up with more balance dark fruit, subdued tannin and earth and floral notes

  A solid weekday drinker. After some air, it is easy drinking and already open for business.

  Nice Barolo with lovely nose of fruit and flowerbed. Some leathery feel on the palate, but not in an unpleasant way. Medium finish.
