  Very surprised (but happy) that this 1986 Cab still held its own. Moderate fruits, nicely structured, balanced and smooth wine, & a long velvety finish.

  This is fantastic, far better than I expected. Incredibly youthful, dark purple color, with a gorgeous nose filled with cassis, herbs and subtle eucalyptus notes. This would be a dead ringer for a Bordeaux but for the telltale minty notes. Rich and round, with black cherry, plum and baking spice flavors, and a healthy dose of acidity, finishing with velvety tannins. Rather old school, with many years of life ahead.

  Exquisite! Plenty ready, but not over ready, in my opinion it will be great for another 3-4 years.
