From a half bottle. Denser and richer than 5 years ago. Fruits get denser like peaches and less floral and mineral notes. Medium+ acidity, not the most you expect from Mosel riesling. Petrol note comes slowly at the back. Medium sweetness. In the second stage of development but definitely can still keep for quite a while. 15/20

Burg Wine Dinner (Woodstock, GA): Wow, completely pale straw and showing some spritzig for a 12+ year old Auslese; nose is boring only showing a hint of Riesling character, really reminds me of a decently made Kabinett or QbA, nose lacks depth and any complexity that's normally gained with a wine this age; palate is slightly better not showing a sweet and cloying quality of a wine only 7.5%, the sweetness has subdued a bit and the acidity is better than the sugar, does not have the weight or nobility of a producer of this level or vineyard or vintage; not sure whether I opened this 25 years too early or it really just didn't bring its A game...very disappointed.

Very pale straw color. Nose is white grape (go figure), white flowers and citrus. Taste was dominated by tangerine with pineapple rounded out with a little stone. Not overly sweet, I initially thought this might be a Spaetlase, and acidity is very refreshing. Very tasty wine, but comparing to other Ausleses I've had, have to score this in the high eighties.
