Very flat The wine looks violet colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like strawberry, raspberry and bell pepper. The body is light. The wine has linear texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

For about $20 or so, you really can't go wrong with this bottle of Argyle. More classically made than many Oregon Pinots. There is as much earthy peat as their is fruit. And, the alcohol level is a subdued 13%. This is a perfect everyday food wine and guests will enjoy.
As a side note, the Willamette Valley seems to be producing more and more full throttle fruit bombs these days. Wines that completely overshadow the essence of Pinot. Oddly, producers such as Drouhin and Archery Summit are 10 years behind Napa's in producing wines of this fashion and just as Napa is seeing a re-birth of classical approaches. With the exception of trying $20 bottles of Oregon Pinot like this Argyle, I am staying away from the higher priced mountain dew...

Light and subtle, though I wouldn't say complex, with enough there to hold interest, and with decent balance. A very good lunch wine.
