Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Traditional blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino. Organic. M+ red cherry, dried herbs, tobacco, leather and some subtle oak spice from 24 mos. in large French & Austrian oak casks. Dry, with M+ acidity, M+ polished tannins, high alcohol (14.5%), but it's well integrated and seems lower. Full body, with M+ to pronounced flavor intensity. Great balance and polish. Probably at its peak, not likely to improve with further aging.

THIRTY In THIRTY; 4/1/2021-4/30/2021: A: Medium garnet N: Medium (+) nose cherry, cranberry, balsamic, tomato leaf, tobacco leaf, leather, wet rock P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) grippy tannins, high alcohol, full body and medium (+) intensity .....finsih seemed clipped at medium Good Quality wine here.
Guesses: Wet rock and tomato leaf so Sangiovese. I didn't think it was as concentrated or mushroomy as Brunello and so jumped on Chianti Classico.

This is probably as good as this wine will get it and I suspect the age has helped it, judging from the other notes. Really wonderful, lively cherry and leather nose (though I have to say the leather-like notes in Chiantis sometimes smell a bit like fresh bread to me) with some plum and balsamic in the background. I dislike alcohol that stands out from the wine, but here it’s well integrated (even at 14.5%). Acidity and tannins are also well integrated and complementary, neither dominating the other. The palate has more bright cherry and cranberry, supported by plum. Spice and herbs follow. Perhaps a brief finish, but not noticeably so. Somewhat delicate overall—
