This is remarkably good, classic, traditional barolo at a great price. Rose, violet, cherry, a bit of tar. Palate balanced, decent acid, fresh, fruit and leather, moderate finish. Tannins still present, but integrating. Mineral too. A longer finish and a bit more complexity and nuance would take from really good to great.

I decanted the wine for 3 hours. Great structure, leather and a little earth but more forward on the fruit. Medium finish. Definitely could wait or a long decant.

as we did like this and thought it showed very well without a particularly lot of age apparent.
i think this can go longer, but with a nice 4-5 hour decant, should show near its peak rn.

Just perfect mature now. Fresh fruit, good acidity and tannins mellow (for a Barolo)
