  • Clear, light amber-ruby color. Red fruit-driven aromas of plum, raspberry and blood orange, with additional anise, nutmeg, rose hips and turned soil. High-toned red cherry, plum, and balsamic fruit on the palate, richly textured with secondary tar & crushed stone, Mediterranean herb, red florals, and allspice. Broadly framed and rich throughout, with sharp acid and full round tannin, closing with solid high-pitched length.

  • Very good at the price point! Barolos at this tier tend to feel sort of risky but this out performs its price tag I think.

The nose shows maraschino cherry, tomato leaf, olive, violet, new leather, savory herbs and a faint wet clay note.

Fairly brawny tannins on the palate meet a bright moderate-plus acidity that works very well with tomato-based dishes.

Needs a long decant but genuinely very happy with it!

  • Beautiful nose of aromatic balsamic, blood orange and pine needles. Med-full bodied and very dense. Loaded with sweet blood orange fruit, baked black cherries and spice. Just excellent and SO delicious now after an extended decant (it was actually quite aromatic shortly after opening). 92

  • Nice aroma of fresh pine needles, blood orange, sous bois and balsamic. The palate is sturdy with taut tannins that need a few years to resolve, but there's also a richness and full body. As usual, this is an excellent entry-level Barolo at a fair price. Drink 2025-2033 92

  • Very approachable for a young Barolo! Drinking well now. It should drink well for a while, but not sure it will improve any further. Medium red with some garnet (room was dim though), with cherry, rose and balsamic notes. Acidity was surprisingly moderate, not high, and the tannins were moderate plus with some dustiness but fine-grained and not rustic. A pinot noir with some dustiness / more structure. Very enjoyable.
