the chardonnay grape is front and center, however this wine is acidic to the point it was almost difficult to drink. Pair this with some dips or cream cheeses. Very light and clear in color.

The nose showed incipient premox notes of simple apple juice (and not much else) through day 1, with some austere minerals on the margins of day 2. What kept me drinking this was the parsley, lime, powdered stone, soda-biscuit palate that reminded me of a chalky dry Vouvray. Underripe I suppose, but also shimmering with very long limestone echoes, and that tempers my disappointment in this bottle. This was bought after a taste at the winery, which I remember more like the notes below than the bottle on the table before me. Premox from a 2011?? This bottle made it from OR-CA over a week in a cooler. I wonder if moisture broke the seal of the cork somehow.

Sunny January day = tasting around off North Valley (Willamette Valley): Smells rich, with mild oak spice; smooth and soft. Creamy palate texture that's quite lithe, with good lean green acidity and vibrancy. Penetrating acids on the finish, which is tart. Great stuff here. This is becoming one of my favorite Oregon Chardonnays.

2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR): Nose: There are nice aromatics on this with tones of pears, citrus, oranges, creams, and some wood spices. The tones are well balanced, but missing that next gear.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity. Well balanced with richer tones of creams, pears, creamed peaches, and some white fruits.
Overall: This is a very good Chardonnay. Slightly larger, but it holds the style well and isn't overdone.
