Beautiful nose of ripe and cooked red fruit, warm spices, and campfire. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry, warm baking spices, pipe tobacco, campfire, and forest floor. Fruit is fully ripe. I love the producer, and this particular vintage is a little unbalanced, though still very drinkable. Oak isn't fully integrated, sitting on top of the fruit. Alcohol presents on the finish as a little hot. Glassy polished tannin texture on the sip transitions nicely to very fine-grained on the finish. Flavor and aroma intensity: M+. Body: M+, with a smooth texture. Tannin: M+. Acid: M+. Finish: M. Good, with the alcohol impact most affecting the quality perception.

Enjoyed in St Emilion wine shop near Tourist office! We bought 4 bottles and finished quickly! Excellent, well rounded and ready to drink.

Medium bodied, fruity, forward and focused on its cherry personality, this is a wine to drink in its youth.
