  Just a gorgeous, perfect and special bottle of Syrah. Wonderful nose of earth and blood, palate is fresh and fruited style with beguiling iron, bloody, slightly funky/feral quality on finish. Perfect balance. Good bottles like this one have years ahead. This needed to be opened (did not decant) about 40 minutes to show.

  Assez incroyable cette cuvée de 25 ans, quelle jeunesse ! Entouré de nombreux autres vins ce soir-là, il dégageait une sacrée puissance, avec une matiere fraiche et structurée (c'est encore un peu ferme), sur des notes de syrah fumée, lardée, d'olive, de mûre, de poivron rôti et de thym.
  A tel point qu'on peut imaginer son potentiel de garde a au moins une decenie.

  Very old school Rhone Syrah. Cork was in good shape, as bottle been cellared properly. Average amount of sediment. On the palate: Barnyard, raspberry, blueberry, menthol, pencil shavings, leather. Just divine! If you have the chance to get a bottle or two, buy it!

  Feiner, reifer aber nicht überreifer, männlicher Rhone-Weine. In der Nase und Mund Metall, Jod, Leder. Wohl noch bis 2020 gut trinkbar.
