Well, what do you expect? Barbera D'Alba Superiore - loads of controlled acid and fruit, with oak to add some soft tannins. A real pleasure to drink. This particular Barbera has a lovely medium mouth feel a good weight to it. Quite long on the palate I really can't complain. My girlfriend doesn't like a lot of Barolo / Sangiovese because of the tannins so this is a great one for the two of us to enjoy over some pizzas.
Happy drinking.

The wines of Canale's Matteo Correggia with Brigitta Correggia (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): This wine ages for 18 months in 1/3rd large botti, 1/3rd 2nd-3rd filled barrique, and 1/3rd new barruqie. This is from the top of the hill and facing south. The aromas are soft and beautiful; fantastically fruit filled. Very deep and soft. The palate is similar in its softness, with some puckering tartness as well and slight gritty texture. Fresh and soft. Big volume of acid dials up on the lovely finish. Very fresh. It has tart, sweet lovely fruit. Really wonderful.

Sour off flavor. Tasted more like the regular barbera bottling.
