  • Bottled in 2011. Poured out like sump oil. So luscious and layered. Dried fruits, bitter chocolate, toffee and sweet florals. Incredibly intense and sweet.

  • @MaisonCorbeaux
17%. Complex raisins, figs, liquorice, dried strawberry, amazing integration. Med plus acid. Very sweet but savory at the same time. Doesn't seem more than 15-20 years old.

  • Dark concentrated essence of coffee, figs , caramel, butterscotch, prunes and plums with cigar , licourice and brooding cloud of ethereal deliciousness. What a wine! Powerful and noble with a long lingering finish. Complex and just showing layers upon layers of nuances.

  • Wow. You could spend a long time on the nose. Extremely refined aromas of olives, petrol, dark chocolate, and treacle. The palate is super concentrated and super smooth, much more salty than the 1985, which was was still quite sweet. The flavours include black olives, treacle, caramel, dark chocolate, sea salt, and cinnamon. The finish lasts for about 15 minutes. Literally. Parker rates this 100 and I can see why, as it couldn't really be much better. I give it only 95, though that's more a reflection of my personal style preferences than the wine's inherent quality. In itself, this is perfect, and certainly unique. I think that 240 euros for this is actually quite reasonable, all things considered.
