A vintage PX. In comparison to the Alvear 1927 Solera that has been widely reviewed here on CT, this PX is lighter in color (rather like dark honey) and less syrupy. It still has the fig/raisin/prune dried fruitiness, but with an added touch of butterscotch. The result is quite sweet, but less overwhelmingly so. An excellent dessert wine.

Krotida Wine Trip to Priorat & Barcelona; 9/29/2019-10/2/2019: The wine shows richness in the nose, dried fruits, prunes, fig, nutty, raisin, hot from the 17% alcohol. The wine shows full body, rich, overripe fig, prunes, raisins, honey, syrup, medium acidity, medium to long finish.
