Dinner at Otto. Initially disjointed. But came together beautifully after a decant and more time in the glass. Full bodied, has power without excessive weight. Deeply fruited. Still has some tannic roughness around the edges. Can improve further with age. Really nice for the relatively modest pricing.

I believe this is 50% Merlot, with the rest split between Cab Sauv and Cab Franc. Definitely the biggest wine of the night, despite being decanted five hours before it was poured. Dark fruited with fairly massive tannins even at age 12, this could use another 4-5 years in the cellar to really show its best.

Two+ hours of decant, and that was probably minimum needed. This baby still has years to go. Still plenty of structure in it, but the underlying fruit is worth it. Paired well with pork roast.

Very dark red color. PNP, drank a couple glasses over 3 hours at the Ranch. M50, CS30, CF20. High pitched, earthy, dusty, black cherry and plum, currants, wood spices, some alcohol shows, medium plus bodied.
