Tasted alongside the 2022 Chery. What age does to this wine. The nose is almost Burgundian. A bouquet of toffee caramel, butter, pear and stone fruits. Soft and smooth on the palate, understated richness. White pepper, fennel notes. A knockout wine. I’m beginning to believe Perret is the best grower in Condrieu, the wines just age so unbelievably well. At home with Carsten and Olga.

Tasted vis-avis the Chanson, this is certainly a cut above - and cut in a more traditonal Condrieu-style with plenty of rich, chewy fruit, exotic notes - a soft approach. AD loved it - as did I. Even PB admitted, that this was the better wine on the day. #PB

Tasted vis-a-vis the 2011, this has a more classic tone with plenty of exotic fruit going on, yet tightly wound with a mineral core. No signs of aging what so ever, plenty of freshness, a layered wine, that goes on and on. #Kandestederne

Small glass - no tasting notes, just noting that I tried. One to revisit in more detail.

Oily and fat for sure, but finished with an unfortunate sour pith and overall felt flabby.
