Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 92.1 points

  • Have had this quite a few times over the last 3-4 years and it is really fantastic. Very elegant wine, well structured, super balanced with lovely purity. Drinks well now but can lay down for another 7-8 or so easily. 92-93pts

  • Popped and poured, then refrigerated the remaining part of the bottle for the following day. This is a translucent ruby wine with essentially no sediment. On the very pretty nose, I get damp earth and leaves, a mixture of wild red berries, cherry sauce, and cranberries. The bouquet is marked by a wonderfully focused yet changing display of impressions. In the mouth, this is a crisp wine characterized by an earthy-spicy mix with underlying medium red fruits. The finish is chewy, with good length and some spice inflection resurfacing. Overall, I found this very enjoyable. It’s probably on the young side, but is a quality NSG that should continue to show well. 92 points.

  • The nose was earthy and rich, with dark soil and floral undergrowth turning to plum and crushed cherry. On the palate, I found soft textures giving way to ripe, fleshy black cherry, inner floral tones and earth. As the Les Damodes moved across the palate, it firmed up, adding a sense of refinement, and finished long, with palate-coating dark fruit, soil tones, and minerality.
