The first vintage of the estate. Still a rather young dark fruit nose along with some sweet autumn leaves. Ripe, almost stewed dark fruit (cherries, blackberries, sweet blackcurrant). Touch of musk but otherwise rather young and fresh for the age. A sweet creamy note on the end. Still drinking well even if it isn't totally to my personal preferred taste for older Burgundy.

Pale red with some rust. Autumnal fruits and tertiary notes colour filled in a little with air . Sweet old fruit and gentle but lacking intensity now. Finish a little attenuated. Drink soon

Colour light red some brown at edge. Vigorous nose , earthy truffle autumn fruits. Lovely texture , more robust than expected still with crunchy fruit in background. Lovely elegant finish. This has definitely turned from ugly duckling into a very presentable swan.

This demonstrates the vagaries of burgundy. For the first 15 years it was pretty ordinary but the last two bottles have been a revelation. This bottle was well coloured with spice on the nose, some earth and a rustic edge. Palate a little tight to start bit over a couple of hours deepened and open to wild fruits mineral and forest floor. Still vigorous and well balanced.

by far the best bottle of this wine to date. Colour still deep. Lovely nose pinot fruit with some rusticity. Good richness on palate with length purity and freshness. Much more like it.
